Zipporah joined the SCA in the fall of 1994 as part of the Shire of Coldwood. After a brief stay in the Barony of Concordia of the Snows, she spent the next two years in the Shire of Northern Outpost before moving permanently to the Shire of Anglespur. She has served as a local Chatelaine in Northern Outpost and Anglespur, as well as Deputy East Kingdom Chatelaine, four years as East Kingdom Chatelaine and a year or so as Deputy Society Chatelaine.
Zipporah Founded the Worshipful Company of Narrowworkers and served as Guildmistress from 2001-2007. She Co-Founded and served as Co-Guildmistress of the Guild of St. Severus (the East Kingdom Knitting Guild) from 2005-2008.
She was elevated to the Order of the Laurel in 2007 and the Order of the Pelican in 2009.
Mistress Zipporah bas Yosef is a 16th century Jewish woman living in Prague. She used to be Angharad verch Rees, a woman in 13th century Wales.
