Uaine as Ar n-Eilean-ne [Wen-Ya as Ar-Nail-Ee-An-Nay] found the SCA in 2016 in the Shire of Avonmore, she has sense travelled East and joined the Barony of Ruantallan. She is an Eastern Scribe who enjoys a wide variety of period art and the education you acquire when researching award scrolls. Uaine is also an MIT for archery her second love in the SCA and is often found on the range in the summer months.


Uaine is an Irish woman from Viking age Ireland. She often wears early period Irish garments but enjoys the art and esthetic of many periods.


As a scribe of the East she and creates scrolls for the Kingdom and local groups. Building a scroll from start to finish based on the tales of the recipient or the theme of an event. Uaine finds it interesting to learn about the history of a time period when researching someone's persona.

She sews much of her family's garb as well as make embellishments such as tablet woven trim and belts, embroidery and basic wire jewelry.

Uaine has taught the following classes;

-Quill Making
-Marzipan for Kids
-Beginner Calligraphy
-Illumination activities for kids
-Illuminating a Grotesque from the Luttrell Psalter
-Illumination basic shading paint along
-Dip pen basics

She has a love of medieval maps and cartography and has created several of the Barony of Ruantallan and hopes to create an Atlas of the East Kingdom as a long term project.

Uaine is a Archery MIT in Ruantallan working with Tynan As Ar n-Eilean-ne. She is also a beginner fletcher and currently ranked as a marksman on the East Kingdom archery rankings.

-For the Scribes- Treasures scrolls from all periods and would love to see scribes make their most loved styles or try one they've been inspired by for a while but haven't gotten the right recipient yet.

The Kingdom Seals have a great history, it would be lovely to see them used if appropriate.

Please use standard framing sizes unless it needs a shadowbox for seals or is a non traditional scroll.

Favorite color is green, Uaine means green in Gaelic.
