Introduction & Persona

Trian (He/They) hails from Ravensbridge/Malagentia and plays extensively with his neighboring Barony of Stonemarche. Formerly "Cadet Prime" under Camille des Jardins, Trian is an active member of houses Bloodwood and Ardubrath; when on the fencing field he fights under the Northern Army flag. Trian prefers not to use any title or honorific as a general rule, finding familiarity in the role of a lowborn laborer.

Best known as a fencer and a laborer, Trian is a dabbler in many hobbies and has, in addition to the merits of his sword and service, won accolades for Arts & Sciences, Bardic Performance, and Target Archery. As of Anno Societatis 58 Trian has leveraged his passion for poetry to wordsmith scrolls for the kingdom.

Preferring a quieter life, Trian tends to arrive early and stay late to do service cleaning cabins and setting up/breaking down tents and structures while the sites are less crowded. Unsurprisingly, he tends to camp in quiet, far-off clearings and even during fencing tournaments he tends to avoids the crowds, wandering off to rest in the shade between bouts.

Trian's name and persona were chosen to reflect a Scottish gallóglaigh - a mercenary warrior that brandished a two-handed great sword in service to Irish lords as both a fearsome warrior on the field and as a personal bodyguard. These violent ventures were undertaken to afford himself a comfortable life on his farm in the Scottish Highlands, and while little of this origin still resonates with the rapier fighter of today, the quest for a simple and quiet life is evergreen.

Trian was awarded the Keystone Vert for assisting building infrastructure and digging trenches for the baronial encampment at Pennsic. He was granted an Award of Arms following his service as Baroness' Fencing Champion of Stonemarche. He was awarded the Silver Rapier following his victory as Champion & Most Honorable Combatant in the Known World Baronial Rapier Championship. He was awarded the Sovereign's Esteem for his service during the reign of Ozurr & Fortune. He was awarded the White Gate after his second year running fencing at the Market Day at Birka and fourth year serving as Baronial Rapier Champion. He was awarded the Silver Wheel following his twelfth year as staff for the Market Day at Birka. He was awarded the Claw of Durga on the Pennsic battlefield after defeating seven of the Midrealm's champions in the 15 vs. 15 Heroic Melee Champions Battle and helping secure a comeback victory when outnumbered 5 to 2 alongside Mistress Nataliia. He was awarded the Golden Rapier on the occasion of his fifth year as Marshal in Charge of Fencing at Birka.
