Introduction
Sorel (mka Rugged Sting Ray) was injured in an accident in 2005, and his owner Doucette used SCA Equestrian activities to keep him interested and happy during his rehabilitation. She spent two years trying to save him. Ultimately his injuries were determined to be too severe. He is still a member of the East Kingdom Cavalry in that he inspired his owner to begin SCA Equestrian activities and still inspires her to this day.

Ray/Sorel passed away just before the age of the smartphone. Extant photos of him are rare and treasured.
