Introduction

Duchess Ro Honig von Sommerfeldt (Most commonly called Honig) has been playing in the SCA since 2005. Her first event was Pennsic 34. She has played with the Barony of Bhakail, Barony of An Dubhaigeainn, Shire of Nordenhalle, the Barony of Carillion, the Province of Malagentia[[ and currently in Settmour. She received her AOA in July of 2009 and was inducted into the order of the Maunche November of 2011 and into the order of the Laurel at Birka in January of 2014. She served the East as Queen in A.S. 51 & 56 with her champion Ioannes Aurelius Serpentius and served as a Lady of the Rose. She is once again Princess of the East and her Champion and Prince is Culann mac Cianain.

ĉ== Persona == Illuminator and Troublemaker. My Persona will always be a process. My name, Ro Honig von Sommerfeldt means “The red honey of the summer fields”. To me it means the blood that seeps into the soil after/during war.

I have changed my arms. I am moving away from my peacock. The peacock in its pride was symbolic of not dimming my bright. This does not mean arrogance, but having a commitment to honoring my gifts and achievements. I don’t believe that anyone should downplay their strengths to make other people feel better. I want everyone to shine! I would prefer not to have more peacocks as gifts. This is my 20th year in the SCA and I am moving forward as a very different person as I was for those first 20 years. This is my badge. I will post my new Queens favor early 2026.
