Practices

Most local groups will run practices for the activities in which their members are interested. Not every group can support practices for every kind of activity.
For marshal activities that require you to be authorized before participating at event, practice is where you'll learn the rules, how to participate safely and eventually get authorized (authorization can also happen at some events).
