Introduction
Lord Percival was first drawn to the SCA after researching local sword-play groups to do a demonstration at a fantasy novel event he was hosting in 2022. After being invited to a fencing practice to see what it was about he was hooked and shortly after became a regular at practices.
Percival's main focus is fencing and can be found at the Rusted Woodlands and Settmour Swamp practices, as well as tournaments around the tri-state. Though he's usually swinging swords around, Percival is a modern renaissance man. He is a classically trained percussionist and will occasionally pull out a drum for a demo as well as skilled in the arts of blacksmithing, jewelry casting, woodworking, writing, and art; sometimes making new parts for swords, small tokens or medallions, and awards for impromptu tournaments.
Persona
Floating somewhere between a 13th century English knight at demonstrations geared toward youth and in the larger society, a renaissance British noble transplant in Venice to learn the art of the fence; Lord Percival sees himself as a swordsman on an ever-moving path forward and is always willing to help and to learn.
