Introduction
I discovered the SCA in the spring of 2023, and I've been trying to go to as many events as I can and do as many things as possible since then, although I'm a little hampered by lack of transportation.
I'm excited about heavy fighting (especially melee), service (I started out just really enjoying picking things up and putting things down, but I'm getting my confidence up for more involved jobs now), a variety of crafts (the current list is bobbin lace, tablet weaving, sewing, wire weaving, and wire jewelry), the overall SCA atmosphere and pageantry (I love court!), and picking up more hobbies.

In other random skills it might be useful to note, I'm from Poland and am happy to help people translate/research things in Polish if needed.
Service & Teaching
Initiated and helped organize an SCA demo and a crafting class at Princeton Wintersession (Jan 2025). Taught period bobbin lacemaking classes: at the Buckland Cross craft night (2024), and at Nova Schola (2025). More minor things: sat gate at multiple events, served as a retainer several times, helped a friend with event prep/running, volunteered at a few demos, helped out in the kitchen occasionally, helped with setup and teardown whenever I could.
Persona
I don't have one yet (or a proper name or device) - hopefully I'll settle on an idea sometime soon, making decisions is hard...
In Case of Court
I'd like a surprise if possible! My knight, Pelican, chatelaine or baroness will generally know which events I'm going to. I like court and will usually be there for it without prompting; I'm an unsuspicious person and you can probably ask me a lot of related questions without me figuring out what's going on.
Nika is pronounced Nee-kah. I haven't decided on a persona gender yet, and any pronouns are fine, but for titles I prefer the gender-neutral variant.
I love abstract/geometric/leafy patterns and swords; my favorite color combination is blue+gold+black. Text-wise I like feudal and community themes, and simple old-fashioned phrasing or Norse poetry.
