Introduction

Nicole de Briolay is my current SCA name. I joined the SCA about 5 years ago and regularly attend large events like Pennsic and Birka. In the last year, I have been attending more local events and am looking to take on some roles within the organization. I currently reside in the Canton of Towers, which is part of the larger Barony of Carolingia. I am a current member of Ragnarshús. I enjoy helping out with logistical planning and I do have an interest in book heraldry.

I also enjoy crafting, with a particular focus in fiber arts. I enjoy weaving and spinning, and hope to one day be able to weave cloth from what I have spun. I also enjoy needlefelting and embroidery. I am a member of The Keepers of Athena's Thimble and hope to further develop my skills in that area. I am a teacher in my mundane life, and I enjoy being able to share my interests with others.

Persona

My persona is French, 12th Century, and middle class. I spent a year in France when I was in high school in a town called Briollay, which is reflected in my SCA name. I am still exploring the time period to decide what I am going to focus on. I am also interested in developing an early Norse persona as well.
