Written by Toki Redbeard in drottkvaett. At Twelfth Night in A.S. 39, King Thorvald Halvorsson (“Thorson”) knighted Oskar at Twelfth Night.
The king collects planking,
culls the finest sword-trees.
Standing in storm’s forest,
stout beam of hard branches.
Strong will be strake garboard,
stretched along keel oaken.
Relied upon always,
oak of the king’s dragon.
