Jadwiga Zajaczkowa is a Polish noblewoman living in Silesia as a waiting-gentlewoman to the wife of a Bohemian noble. She is knowledgeable about herbs, cookery and physic.
Metressa Jadwiga is a member of the Orders of the Laurel, Maunche, and Silver Crescent. Her areas of expertise are herbal use, history of medicine, pre-1650 cookery, gardening, and research. She is the founder and Agitatrix/Syndic of the East Kingdom Herbalists' and Apothecaries' Guilde. She was previously resident in the Shire of Eisental and now lives in the Royal Forest of Rusted Woodlands. In Eisental, she held the offices of Webmaster, Deputy Chronicler, Chatelaine and Chamberlain. Magistra Jadwiga has had two apprentices, Isabella d'Alaines le Comte and Annys Wolf of Wharram Percy (now in the Outlands). She was the editor of the Compleat Anachronist for issues from 153 through 166.
She teaches extensively, at Pennsic and at local events.
Mundanely, Jennifer Heise is a veteran reference librarian of 30 years and an herb gardener of 40 years. She has one child.
