Introduction
I was first introduced to the Society in the early 1990's in CT. I enjoyed events in both CT and RI during the 90's. I have recently come back to the Society and look forward to making friends and having some wonderful adventures.
Persona
Céad Míle Fáilte
Laird Gwyn is the child of English and Irish Parents. Her father is the second oldest son of a nobleman. He has become a successful business owner, owning several Inns and taverns near Hedingham, England. Gwyn enjoys helping others and recognizing others for their hard work and contributions. Seeing others receive recognition for their contributions always brings a smile to her face. She believes it is all of our responsibility to make sure that others are recognized. She believes we should be actively seeking to find those who have not received something they qualify for and to recommend them for such. We should not stand in the way of others. We truly thrive when we lift others up and help them soar.
Laird Gwyn is passionate about brewing and has always been fascinated by it. His current knowledge is in meads and ciders. He'd love to find a mentor to teach him much more. He enjoys archery target practice and wishes to find a mentor to improve. He tried to learn to sew from his mother but she didn't possess a great deal of patience with teaching certain things.

More Information
My biggest passion is inclusion and helping to make sure that everyone is included. We need to make sure that we are doing what needs to be done to include those with; hearing impairments, and mobility issues. These are the Society's biggest disability groups. In the USA the number of people with identified with hearing loss is at 50 million and counting every day. We need to make sure that everyone can hear what is going on. We also need to make sure everyone can easily get to and participate in any activity that is planned. In the East Kingdom we are working towards being more inclusive for those with hearing issues with the East Kingdom ALS (Assistive Listening System).
I am a big proponent of everyone having a wiki page attached to their Kingdom and local group. The Kingdom does not give the local group a list of everyone who is in their geographical coverage area. Connecting your local group to your page helps the local branch to know who's in their branch. The page should detail what you have done in the Society and any awards you've received. Keeping your wiki updated helps people recommend others for awards.
