Introduction
"Bonheddig" (bohn-HEH-thig) or "Lord" Gavin Kent
Born in the sunrise lands of the East, Gavin moved away to the Outlands before he became aware of the SCA, and started his exploration of the modern middle ages in Colorado in 1997. Moving to NY State in 2001 he became a citizen of Æthelmearc for a number of years before returning to his homeland in the province of Malagentia in 2022. (He now splits his time between Malagentia and Carolingia)
Gavin has devoted much of his scadian life to the Bardic arts, cooking, service and lately the rapier field.
Gavin draws his source material from a life as a late 15th century Welsh trade merchant, hailing from Penarth in the Cardiff area. His family owns two carrack sailing vessels that work the trade in English wool to the mainland and into the Mediterranean, fine fabrics, wood, oils and spices in return.

In Case of Court
Distinct preference to be told directly that I am summoned to court at a specific event, please feel free to schedule with me directly, tho surprise is not a hard no. Please make sure that members of my close circle including Anéžka Liška z Kolína (241480 at members.eastkingdom.org), Chatricam Meghanta (marguerite.lachlainn at gmail dot com), Camille des Jardins (179047 at members.eastkingdom.org) and Remy Delamontagne de Gascogne (205783 at members.eastkingdom.org) are made aware of impending court appearances.
I prefer my scrolls in English or Welsh, inspiration from the Mabinogion, Gawain and the Green Knight, The Cantebury Tales, and poetry of Gwerful Mechain are excellent sources. I love organic elements, grotesques from letters, contrasting capitals, and marginalia. I am delighted by creative period spellings of words, and of my name in forms including Gaven, Gawin, Gawain, and Cent or Kente.
I can be contacted via EK Member email (126514) or via "gavinkent" at gmail
