I live in Caleys, France. My family is from England. I started in the society in the year 1412, and now it is 1424.

I enjoy a variety of time periods and clothing styles, from Norse to Anglo-Saxon to Renaissance Italian.

I have recently organized a local chapter of the East Kingdom Foresters Guild (the Forest Court of Carolingia), and in September 2023 I was promoted to the rank of Forester. In January 2024, our fledgling chapter was granted a Royal Charter, so now we are the Royal Forest of Carolingia.

I enjoy sewing, leatherwork, and crafting of all sorts.

Here is my project blog:

I host regular SCA crafting evenings where we gather to work on projects, encourage and help each other, share knowledge, and enjoy each other's company. (These crafting evenings were suspended in 2020 and are likely to resume soon.)

Birka 2015

Date: January 2015

Location: Manchester, NH

At this Birka, I entered the Queen's Garb Challenge at the fashion show. The challenge (by Her Royal Magesty Thyra) was "celestial". To meet this challenge, I was inspired by this illumination of the planetary system as described by Ptolemy.

For the challenge, I interpreted the illustration as this celestial cape. I won the top prize!
