Baron Eliyahu al-Talhi (called Tally) is a Jewish dhimmi living under Seljuk rule.

After fighting heavy for many years, Tally took up fencing five years ago, and has since been inducted into the order of the Silver Rapier.

He became a cadet to Don Griffith Davion on 1.29.25

Tally was proud to represent the East in the Heroic Champions Singles team at Pennsic 51 and Pennsic 52, where he won his bouts Link 1, Link 2. He was the highest placing Eastern fencer at the Pennsic Cadet Tourney both years, placing 2nd out of 93, and 4th out of 87. He won the Kunst Der Verteidigung/Titan’s Tournament in Barony of Lochmere, Atlantia, bringing a Titan’s Torch back to the East Kingdom, which will let him fight the Atlantian Titan’s tournament later this year.

Tally is passionate about fencing and travels extensively to complete in tournaments and learn from other fencers in the East Kingdom as well abroad. He is currently Rapier Champion of the Crown Province of Østgarðr. He has been Rapier Champion of the Barony of Bhakail, The Shire of Hartshorn Dale, and the Shire of Caer Adamant.

As an East Kingdom Marshall of Fence, Tally loves mentoring newcomers and authorizing new fencers. He hosts monthly rapier prize tournaments called the Tip Tourney at the Barony of Bhakail and the Shire of Hartshorn Dale.

He is videographer at events, posting videos of fencing, fighting and other activities. His SCATally Youtube channel has more than half a million views.

RunsTally’s Tip Tourney at local events and practices, with prizes such as fencing necessities (tips and grip tape) and more. Tally has run more than twenty-five of these tourneys as of December 2025 and the tourney format has spread to the local heavy practice as well.

Loves teaching new fencers at his local practices and has authorized lots of fencers at multiple events.

Served as Rapier champion of Caer Adamant, Hartshorn-Dale, Bhakail and Østgarðr. When he hosted the tournament to pass along each championship, he purchased fencing daggers from Darkwood and commissioned Master Muin to carve regalia of the group into the handles as gifts for the incoming champions. He also commissioned regalia (a baldric and belt favor) from Maria Charriez for the Rapier Champion and Heavy Weapons Champion of Hartshorn-Dale which will now be passed down to future champions.
As an East Kingdom Marshall, spent time running the rapier tent at Pennsic for inspections and such and has marshalled multiple battles at Pennsic. Spent entire days marshalling, for example at 100 minutes 2023 and 2025.
