Introduction
Dorian of Lewes joined the SCA in the mid '80s as "Dorigen," until research in the 2010s allowed him to finally correct the spelling of his name. He has been an active member of the archery community as both an archer and a marshal ever since in (now) three kingdoms: the East, the Middle, and Aethelmearc. He holds the Order of the Sagittarius from the East, and the Order of the Dragon's Barb from the Middle. He is also a Maunche for brewing, when he needed an indoor hobby.
Dorian began in the Society in the Barony Beyond the Mountain (northern and eastern Connecticut) in the Cantons of Fennbrycg and Bowman's Rest. Employment changes moved him to the Barony of the Cleftlands in the Middle Kingdom (Cleveland, Ohio,) then back to the East in the Barony of Delftwood (Syracuse, NY) in what was then the Principality of Aethelmearc, and then later to the Barony of Dragonship Haven (southeastern Connecticut) where he lived with his wife for close to ten years. They later moved back to the Barony Beyond the Mountain.
He has served as the Baron of the Barony Beyond the Mountain, seated with his wife, Mistress Eloise of Coulter.
Persona
Dorian is a prosperous merchant in Lewes in Sussex, England, when he is not away in Edward III’s wars in France as part of Earl John de Warenne’s and later Earl Richard Fitzalan's levy.

Archery
Dorian has been active as an archery marshal for almost forty years. He has run a weekly archery practice in the Barony Beyond the Mountain for approximately fifteen years, for three and a half seasons every year (darkness can be overcome, snow is more problematic.)
