Introduction

Damhan MacRonain (he/him/his) was introduced to the SCA in the Barony of Carolingia at the MIT college group in the summer of 2002. He was very active in the heavy list fighting community from 2002 to 2005 in Carolingia, Quintavia, and Barony of the Bridge. Damhan was also a member of the I Sebastiani Commedia Del’Arte group. He became Duke( then Sir) Kenric’s squire in the summer of 2003. Life events led to a period of relative inactivity until 2010 when Damhan, his wife Agnes, and their 3 children went to events and practices. Life events and a medical diagnosis led to another period of inactivity until 2018, and the couple and 3 of their now 4 children have been active since.

After battling serious medical issues, and while in a period of ability Damhan is back to fighting heavy list as much as he can. While health allows he hopes to make as much progress in his heavy list fighting goals.

Persona

Damhan was born in northern Ireland in 972 AD, during the period of Norse raiding and eventual settlement in different parts of Ireland. Damhan fought on the side of High King Brian Boru at the Battle of Clontarf.
