The Shire of Coill Tuar has been established within the borders of the East Kingdom of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc. for the exploration and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th-century Europe.

Meaning: Shire of Dry Wood (Gaelic "Coill" for Wood, "Tuar" for Dry).
Established: This branch-name was registered in May of 1985 (via the East)
