Friedrick Berckheymer (will respond to Burk) accompanied Holy Roman Emperor Fredrick II on his way to the Holy Land where power would eventually be transferred back to the Crusaders. Friedrick’s journey is lengthy and filled with the ups and downs of navigating foreign lands while seeking knowledge and experience.

As a page, young Friedrick was in service to the Shire of Hartshorn-dale where he would later take on the duty of a Knight Marshal. He learned to dance (although begrudgingly) and started his training in the martial disciplines within the borders of the shire. He developed a love for swords and steel. The loyal subjects of our sovereign’s shire bestowed the values of serving others, expression through art, and the love of learning. Friedrick also spent time in service to the military order known as House Bloodguard (former member) where he learned discipline, courtesy, and above all else the art of bloodshed and warfare. He became a man-at-arms to Count Wilhelm von Ostenbrucke.

Encourged by Wilhelm, as a young adult Friedrick ventured into AEthelmearc to expand his studies and make alliances. Later in life he took up the cross as a second son seeking land, riches, and glory. His journey to the holy land took him from the Kingdom of the East, across AEthelmaerc, to The Middle Kingdom, and finally to the Barony of Three Rivers in Calontir. Never satisfied with his training he sought out knights and warriors to test his prowess. He made many friends on his journey that would have an impact on his comportment in later life.

Friedrick is a current resident of the Barony of Bhakail. He recently returned from a two-year campaign in the Shire of Eisental where he founded a practice helping recruits train for battle. He spent many nights training with the masters in our sovereign's western lands in the Shire of Owlsherst. He is currently defending the borders of the Barony of Buckland Cross as their Rattan Champion.
