Introduction
Áoife (pronounced Eefa) Inghean Uí Briain joined the SCA in 2019. She attended some fight practices with Surtr’s Brood. Her first event was St. Andrew’s 2019. Mid year 2020, she began pursuing her passion of throwing weapons. She has always enjoyed music and dipped her toes into the bardic arts. At a local Schola event in the Spring of 2022, she became the Baronial Bardic Champion.
Persona
12th century Hiberno Norse (Norse–Gaels). Áoife’s father lived in southern Ireland and her mother was of Scandinavian descent. They were merchants who crafted whatever they could. Áoife was always very proud of her heritage. One of her passions was throwing sharp weapons at a target. Her mother would often sing songs to her when she was little, this cultivated a love and appreciation of music. She loved Celtic knots and incorporated two quatrefoil knots into her heraldry, as well as a spear, as a nod to her ancestors who where pikemen.
