Caoilfhionn inghean Fhaoláin has been an unabashed fan of the Eastern Unbelted Champions team for more years than she cares to count. It was because of her deep attachment to the team and all it stands for that she was incredibly emotional the day she sent them off to battle as their queen at Pennsic 43.

Shortly after war was over and the East returned to their lands, she penned this, her very first song, that describes her experience sending them to battle.

When she was blessed again to sit the Tyger throne for Pennsic 47, she sang this song to the unbelted team, as their queen, before sending them off to fight the Midrealm's champions.

Both teams were victorious.

Lyrics

With your armor polished bright

and your weapon at your side,

Your courage mounted neatly on your shield.

With your brothers you stand

Holding each life in your hand.

You carry my heart into war.

Wear it like protection

Wield it like a weapon

Let it be your courage and your mercy

Tuck it into your breastplate

Remember, before it's too late:

You carry my heart into war.

No man shall stand alone

When facing down a foe

For the army stands united on the field.

In victory or death,

To the time of your last breath

You carry my heart into war.

Wear it like protection

Wield it like a weapon

Let it be your vengeance or your honor

Tuck it into your helm

Remember, all too well:

You carry my heart into war.

With enemies all around

Crimson covering the ground

The ferocity of battle in your skin

As you slash through flesh and bone

Remember: its just on loan

You carry my heart into war.

Wear it like protection

Wield it like a weapon

Let it be your courtesy and fury

Tie it fast around your arm

Let it keep you safe from harm.

You carry my heart into war.

When battle is all through

And the day belongs to you

Put down your arms and march back home

Come back here to me

Return it on bended knee.

You carry my heart into war.

But when warring is all done

If the enemy has won

I'll ever miss the beating of my heart

By each man upon the ground

Shattered pieces all around

Of a heart that shall not return from war.

So wear it like protection

Wield it like a weapon

Let it be your bravery or glory

Then come back here to me

Return it on bended knee.

You carry my heart into war.

Please.

Come back here to me

Return it on bended knee.

You carry my heart into war.
