Introduction
I was originally introduced to the SCA in 1992. Throughout moves and relationships, it's been the one thing that's been looked for no matter where I've landed. I was originally known as Kaitlyn MacAulay in the Barony of Illiton during 1992. Continued on to involvement in the Baronies of Starkhafn (Caid), Carreg Wen (Caid) and Caerthe( Outlands), and the Stronghold of Hellsgate (Ansteorra). Currently residing in the Shire of Blak Rose and taking the youngest kender-beastie to youth fighter practice in Owlsherst monthly.
I will help with just about anything, but I prefer coaching kids in set-up, tear-down, or being of service. I have my volunteer certifications and will be turning them in asap so that there's more "kender-tenders" for Blak Rose, Owlshearst and any other event I find myself at.
I have experience in are sewing, embroidery, crochet, knitting, stained glass, calligraphy, ceramics, "ink & paint", wheel thrown pottery, archery, youth supervision, and water bearing.
I have basic certifications in CPR/AED and I'm not afraid to tell people that they can't go out and fight until they drink some more water.
Awards
Widow Kait does not have any awards or recognition - she's been too busy moving!
Persona
Widow Kait started life on the shores of Loch Lomond in 1495 as the eldest child and only daughter of Alexander Og and Sarah. Her mother was a midwife and healer, her father was a scribe. She and her 4 brothers all learned to read, write, and do sums from the local priest and their father.
In 1510, she married; this was short lived. Her new husband died at the Battle of Floddon in 1513, leaving her to care for a small child. 2 of her brothers fell at this battle as well. In 1518, she met and married a merchant from Nihon. In 1519 she gave her husband a son, and in 1521 she presented him with a daughter. She continues to be known as Widow Kait of the Kenders, as most individuals have always referred to her thusly.
