Written in Drottkveatt by Toki Redbeard. Presented at Birka, A.S. 38 in the Barony of Stonemarche

She is brought to vigil,
renowned basket-binder.
A rich ring is now won:
her word-fame is woven.
Wisdom not fame seeking,
king and queen well-serving,
comes she to the peerage,
kith to great companions.

At her stead stand daughters—
and—still unbowed—mothers.
gold-skeined, she stands taller,
skilled crafter and scholar.
Nothing less, a Norse wife,
no small effort taking.
Husband’s happy people.
horns of mead are raising.
