Unconfirmed Account Email Text

When an account has not been confirmed after a few days, I email them the following message. In addition to checking on their request, it lets me test their email address. If the address doesn't work for some reason, then they will never be able to receive their password, so the request is deleted. If they don't respond within a week, the request is deleted. In either case, they can always request an account again later.

Greetings!

I noticed that you had started the process for getting an account on the EK Wiki, but didn't finish. You
should have received an email from the Wiki to confirm your email address. (Possibly got put in your spam
folder?) After confirming your address I would get a notice to activate your account.

Are you still interested in an account? If so, I will go ahead and active it.

In Service,
  Michel

Thanks for clearing out that common.js file. I saw that you guys didn't have gadgets enable for MediaWiki (not sure if you ever planned on it), and I wanted to get wikEd working to give some additional browser tools. I went down the user script route first and when it didn't work, realized that you probably didn't have user scripts enabled. So I just blanked out the page rather than keeping it around. Ultimately, I wound up installing wikEd through a greasemonkey/tampermonkey script. Dbachen (talk) 11:45, 12 April 2018 (EDT)

Question 2, On the edits you made to mine and Molly's page 1) the removal of the IB populace icon next to location -- I formatted mine based on how Eldritch did his. I'm guessing that the idea here is a consistent format and to not use images in the location list? 2) Same idea regarding the inclusion of the date of the device/badge. You don't want anything other than the pure text description. Is there a more appropriate location to put that? In the main page itself, one of those sections? Or skip it entirely? I'm making assumptions based on the kinds of edits made, and want to make sure I follow the right steps next time to keep things cleaned up, but the rules (as displayed) were pretty light. I'd hate to overburden folks with what they can/cannot do, but I plan to help others setup their pages too and just wanted to know if you had another set of guidelines I might reference.
