Karen Veale / Thyra Eiriksdottir started attending events in the SCA when she was in college in Worcester, MA. She became a SCAdian when she moved to Ithaca, NY and started attending weekly meetings and workshops. She took over from the previous dance minister in January 2002 and served in that role until she moved back to the East Kingdom in July 2004, though she hopes to take on a similar role again. She lives in Berlin, MA (in Camelot Cohousing).
