Introduction
Baroness Ursula of North Woods My first SCA event was May 1, 1979 in the Barony of North Woods (Michigan State University). I appear in Finvarr's history of the Barony of North Woods for starting the tradition of macrame Knight's belts. My AOA was from King Mearowald de Sylveastan in AS XIII (1977). I moved to the East Kingdom in 1979 and promptly founded the Shire of Settmour Swamp as the founding Seneschale and founding Chronicler. Since the Barony of Settmour Swamp was founded by two women, Magda z Stalburg became the first Baroness. I became the second landed Baroness of Settmour Swamp in 1982. I have served as the Barony of Settmour Swamp's Chronicler several times and just won the 2015 Balckfox Award for the Best Special Edition in the entire SCA for my 35th Anniversay Issue (August 2014, Mudpuppy)

Over the decades I have received a Silver Crescent, a Maunche, a Terpsichory, a Queen's Order of Courtesey and a Grant of Arms. I studied dancing under Master Christopher Guilwenrod and teach dancing, mostly English Country dancing. At the Barony level I have received a Silver Tower, an Ivory tower and this past year (2015) a Bronze Tower. I never received a Bronze Tower in the past because I was the Baroness handing out these awards. I co-autocrated many events in the early years of the Swamp with Magda and hosted many of the early "Swamp Stomps" (monthly meetings). I co-autocrated a cooking collegium with Elisabetta. I ran "the QUEST" with a dragon obstacle in 2014 and in 2015 I autocrated the QUEST event.
