Introduction
Tiffan Fairamay, mundanely known as Sylvan Thorncraft, is very curious and loves to make things. These tendencies, coupled with a mundane background in Anthropology and Geography (focusing on Archaeology), have supported her deep desire to understand how people of various times and places have done this “human” thing, and how our personal lives, beliefs, and domestic practices are part of a sweeping arc of time, history, and evolution of culture. She also harbors a long standing love for, and curiosity about her ancestral European roots, fairy tales and folk ways.
She says, “So when all this met up with the SCA at GNEW XXVIII I was totally dazzled and in love. I have always felt completely inspired by the passionate creativity and curiosity of our community, and also humbled and moved by the degree of personal generosity of those who love to support the Dream. Our community offers so many opportunities to share what inspires each of us, and that sharing contributes to a more rich and vibrant experience for everyone. I am so glad to keep finding ways to be of service through my own creativity.”
Persona
Though Tiffan [tɪ-FAWN] is most often found in 14th Century England, she also enjoys traveling, and the thrill of exploring other times and places.
