Introduction
My name is Alexandre Grenier. My SCA name is Theophylaktos Ò Nean. I'm a member since the last 12th Night (2019) I'm in the Barony of L'Ile du Dragon Dormant.
Persona
Theophylaktos Ò Nean is the son of a common but enought wealthy to live well Eastern Roman family. His father was a well known goldsmith and painter of Constantinople. His mother was only a poor peasant. Theophylaktos was supposed to be sent to Venice where he would have a chance to become a well known goldsmith and painter such as his father. But, with the new Emperor; Romanos I Lekapenos, and a new senate and imperial court, Theophylaktos father lost his contacts in the old imperial Macedonian dynasty and new painters and artisans who were supporters of Romanos, the usurper, took his place. So , when Theophylaktos parents died, Theophylaktos decided to start a career as a painter but, everybody at the court remembered his lineage so he couldnt make himself a name. But if he wanted to leave Constantinople, he'ld need money. So, he joined the army as a foot soldier. He made himself a name in the Emperor's army so, after only a couple months, the Imperial Guard accepted him in her ranks. Then, with enough money, he left the city to The Kingdom of the East where he'll try to make himself a name as a painter, goldsmith and of course, a fighter.
