The Concert that Started a War (originally known as the Journeymen's Concert) was hosted on Zoom by the Middle Kingdom on 1/23/21, in the middle of the Covid pandemic. A conversation in the text chat during the concert precipitated The First Bardic War.

At the center of that conversation were Hilla Stormbringer of the Midrealm, one of hosts of the concert, and Laila al-Sanna' al-Andalusiyya, former Queen’s Bard of the East, who had been performing... Within the hour, Hilla had posted in the SCA Bardic Arts group that she had instigated an "interkingdom incident", and people were discussing a full-scale War event.

Drake Oranwood, who was Consort's Bard at the time, posted to the East Kingdom Facebook discussion group. He hastily explained to Tindal and Alberic that there might have been an interkingdom incident at that evening’s concert, but that while he had performed there, it was not his fault.

Ultimately, to set the record straight, Drake filked "The Room Where It Happened" from Hamilton, and produced and edited the video below.

Many bards, and a few Royals, conspired to commit this daring act of true history to the collective memory of the Society. East Kingdom performers included Drake, Laila, Tindal and Alberic, Berakha bat Mira v'Shlomo, and Zahra al-Andalusiyya.

More details about the song are available at Drake's website.
