Persona
13th Century Mongolian persona.
She is currently registered in OSCAR as "Suke Arslajin" which translates to "Ax of the Lion." She picked this name originally from a list of Mongol names that was offered to her at the time of her registration. Unfortunately, this name does not fit typical Mongolian naming practices. Instead, she chose to be called "Sarvuu Arslajin," which roughly translates to "Claws of the Lion." She now calls herself "Sarvuu Dorgojin," which roughly translates to "Claws of the Badger."
Mongolian names are very similar to that of Native Americans. For example, in the first chapter of "Secret History of the Mongols" you will find two Mongolian names translated as "beautiful doe" and "greyish white wolf." You will also find that Genghis Khan's birth name was Temujin, derived from the Turkish word "Temur," meaning "of iron," and the suffix "-jin," thus the full translation being "blacksmith."
Lady Sarvuu originally picked "Sarvuu Arslajin" to match that of her partner, but they have since gone separate ways. Now, she has picked her new name, Sarvuu Dorgojin. This is in honor of her fallen friend, Lord Gunnar Alfson, who used 3 badgers in his device.
