Introduction

Lord Ruaidhri MacCrimthainn. Right before leaving the U.S. Marine Corps, I came upon a fighter practice on base at Camp Lejeune, N.C. They said, "Hey you want to try on some armor and hit some people?" Well, Yeah! And so my career in the SCA began. After my discharge, I moved back to Connecticut and became a citizen of the East Kingdom. I was active in the East from 1998-2004. Mundane issues kept me away from the SCA for many years, but in 2012 I started in the SCA again as a citizen of the Kingdom of Trimaris. In the East, I fought and did service, but in Trimaris I also became an artisan. I met my new wife, Baroness Bebhinn, at my first event back in the SCA in 2012, and she and I moved here to the East Kingdom on Thanksgiving night 2013. I am proud to return to my roots in the East and am so happy to be back.
