"Pennoncel" was the name of first newsletter published for the Kingdom of the East. This issue was published in February of 1972, and included an issue of "Banneret".

This issue includes the essay from Elfrida of Greenwalls (aka Marion Zimmer Bradley) titled "Does the East Deserve a Kingdom?"
