On the Occasion of D. Sebastian's Vigil

At the Marketplace at Birka, AS 45, Diomedes Sebastianus was sent to Vigil for the Order of the Chivalry. While waiting to speak to him, Grim the Skald composed this verse and recited it for the noble fighter.

Grinning warrior,	great in prowess,
bearing battle-fire	bright in shield-clash,
where fighters vie	his voice rings out,
calling to arms	the Eastern men.
To kingdom's Hirð	he's called this day
and given bright	belt of argent,
the golden spurs	to gleam at his feet,
and golden chain—	chivalry's sign.
