My lady’s work in art is a wond’rous thing<br>
at pigments, pen, and brush does she excel<br>
the thought of hours she spends on scrolls for the king <br>
dwarfs to naught the time I spend at pell –<br>
and when I tire, my doubts her faith will quell.<br>
So it should be clear to all on Tourney Field<br>
my lady’s art inspires my sword and shield<br><br>

My lady's love is something rare and fine<br>
for when I battle she is always  there<br>
and should I lose my way, wander in mind<br>
the thought of her shall bring my will to bear<br>
e’en when I am cold she warms me through her care<br>
So it should be clear to all on Tourney Field<br>
my lady’s love inspires my sword and shield<br><br>
