Bio

I spent my first years in the Society for Creative Anachronism as a resident of the Barony-Marche of the Debatable Lands in the Kingdom of Æthelmearc, when I joined in AS 39. I served as Minister of Arts and Sciences for my Barony, Guest Editor for the A&S issue of the Althing, the Baronial newsletter, and head of the Debatable Consort. I was also a participant in the Debatable Choir, singing mostly alto but also covering tenor parts when needed, and had been chosen as Baronial Bard one week before I found out that I had to relocate to the Barony of Ayreton, Middle Kingdom, where I lived for a few years. There, I was involved with the Court and Country choral group, and was also involved with providing music for dancing, fanfares and Royal and Baronial courts.

Persona

Margreþa is a late 13th c.- early 14th c. Swedish court musician who lived in France for a number of years. There she was exposed to all sorts of fashionable musical styles. Sometimes she'll go on a time travel spree, mostly because of Thielman Susato and rauschpfeifen. As such, my preferred style and titles are in the Swedish language: Friherrinna (Baroness) Margreþa la Fauvelle, Mästarinna av laurelen (Mistress of the Laurel) but I will answer to pretty much anything, especially given that the French would insist speaking to me in French..

Current tidings

Now residing in the Shire of Eisental in the Southern Region of the East Kingdom and hoping never to move to another Kingdom again, I have played for dancers, Coronation ceremonies, fundraiser tourneys (ask me about Laurels VS. Pelicans sometime!), courts, fanfares and vigils, but most importantly just for the fun of playing with other people. I have been a warranted Webmistress, and like to fence when self-inflicted injuries do not prohibit it.I currently serve as Bardic Champion for HRM Wilhelm and I am the deputy band director for the Bhakaili Branslers As of May A.S. LIV, I am serving as Deputy Minister for Consultation for the Office of Arts and Sciences.

Affiliations

Formerly apprenticed to Maistresse Sabine de Kerbriant.

I have taken one apprentice, Lord Phelippe le Vigneron of Settmour Swamp.

In Case Of Court

In case of induction to a polling order, please let the polling order know at the time of decision. I enjoy surprises, but am not insisting to be surprised. I am ride dependent and schedule event attendance well in advance. People to be notified beforehand involve my apprentice and my former Peer, as named elsewhere in this document.
