Knowing that she would be attending Pennsic 30, Margaret decided she better see what these shenanigans were all about and attended her first SCA event at Great Northeastern War in 2001. Since then she has attended many classes, tried her hand at sewing (poorly), supporting merchants (who sew better than she does), playing with cordial making (and drinking), donned armor to ping the opposing side with crossbow bolts in combat archery (spiffy!), bringing tasty snacks to tired fighters (stinky!), helped in several reigns, and generally enjoying the company of the fabulous people of the SCA.
