Leo MacCullan, Born August 8th 1473, 5th son of the Viscount Albert "The Lesser", son of Earl Albert "The Great", at Caisteal na Nighinn Ruaidhe on Loch Avich, in the Western Highlands of Scotland. Born the youngest, his family promised him to the church to continue in the ancient traditions. Education was granted to him starting at an early age, but as a head strong youngster he was more interested in exploring and playing rough and tumble in the wilderness and highlands. He joined the clergy at age 18 and was ordained as a priest on Mid-summers 1499, then cloistered to Castle Inverness as a soothsayer and healer. This position brought him much contentment but his adventurous ways never left his heart. After a few years of studying the mysteries of the divine, his heart needed to feel the call of adventure once again. Leaving in the dead of the night, never to look back upon his monastery, castle or family, he joined in with the local highlanders "Black Watch" regiment. For 4 years he patrolled the highlands for bandits and scouting for invading forces from England after the failing of the "Treaty of Perpetual Peace" with England. This life was not enough for his adventurous heart. in 1516 Leo resigned his commission of the "Black Watch" regiment to seek his fortune on his own.

Backstory

Leo MacCullan, Born August 8th 1573, 5th son of the Viscount Albert "The Lesser", son of Earl Albert "The Great", at Caisteal na Nighinn Ruaidhe on Loch Avich, in the Western Highlands of Scotland. Born the youngest, his family promised him to the church to continue in the ancient traditions. He joined the clergy at age 18 and was ordained as a priest on Mid-summers 1599, then cloistered to Castle Inverness as a soothsayer and healer. This position brought him much contentment but his adventurous ways never left his heart. After a few years of studying the mysteries of the divine, his heart needed to feel the call of adventure once again. Leaving in the dead of a summer's night 1513, never to look back upon his monastery, castle or family, he joined in with the local highlanders "Black Watch" regiment. For 4 years he patrolled the highlands for bandits and scouting for invading forces from England after the failing of the "Treaty of Perpetual Peace" with England. This life was not enough for his adventurous heart. in 1616 Leo resigned his commission of the "Black Watch" regiment to seek his fortune on his own. That winter in Edinburgh he met several "Free-man sailors of fortune" and quickly joined their ranks. Going from port to port picking up new recruits along the way the intrepid sailors found themselves forming a company of "Freebooters". This was the life for Leo, sailing and seeking Glory, Honor and Wisdom!

Persona

Leo is a confident and a bit of a stubborn warrior priest. He follows his heart and passions often. Several have commented that he is "a bit cocky". This is not without reason, as an accomplished warrior and priest he has found much success on and off the field of battle. His manner and style of dress is a bit anachronistic, out of "period", as a 17th c. Jacobite Highland Warrior.
