Lausavisur for Jadwiga Zajaczkowa

Written by Toki Redbeard in drottkvaett. At Twelfth Night in A.S. 39, King Thorvald Halvorsson (“Thorson”) and Queen Svava Thorgeirsdottir served Jadwiga Zajaczkowa with a writ for elevation to the Order of the Laurel.

Well-armed she with knowledge,
wisdom for the sharing,
of the gold from gardens
green. The forest teaches.
With meat, wine and spices,
well-fed are the mead halls,
made eager by herb-sweet
air. The cook-pot teaches.
