The child of an English noblewoman and an Occitan trobador, Juliana lived as a pious Christian in England until the age of 16 where, instead of following through with marriage to a dullard, she proclaimed herself a pilgrim and travelled to Spain to walk the Camino de Santiago. Upon arriving in Castille and Leon in the mid 1260's she became completely entranced by the music of the area; the Cantigas de Santa Maria were in high popularity, the area was one of the last bastions of the trobadores of the century prior, and there was so much to do! Now she travels around Iberia, and abroad if she must, learning the music of the people and finding the truth of the Divine through music.
