I have had various brushes with the SCA from the fighter's perspective and was never get interested until my very good friend Dorian de San Kalogero voluntold me to play what music I had at the Bellringers event in Carillion in February 2017. It was at that event that I learned that in addition to fighters, the SCA also had BARDS! And they were all going to gather across the river in Bakhail the next weekend for Winter Nights, so it was HIGHLY suggested that I go and make friends! So I did, and now you're all STUCK with me FOREVER!

The child of an English noblewoman and an Occitan trobador, Juliana lived as a pious Christian in England until the age of 16 where, instead of following through with marriage to a dullard, she travelled to Spain to walk the Camino de Santiago, proclaiming herself a pilgrim. Upon arriving in Castille and Leon in the mid 1260's she became entranced by the music of the area; the Cantigas de Santa Maria were in high popularity, the area was one of the last bastions of the trobadores of the century prior, and there was so much to learn! Now she travels around Iberia, and abroad if she must, learning the music of the people and finding the truth of the Divine through music.
