Introduction

Currently residing in the Barony of Settmour Swamp, Lady Judith has been part of the SCA since 2003, and when attending an event, is most at home when working in the kitchen. She enjoys baking, sewing, and researching interesting corners of Jewish life in northern and central Europe.

Persona

As the only surviving child of the esteemed Rabbi Mendel ben Shlomo (may he be remembered for a blessing), Lady Judith studied Talmud with him from an early age and ultimately inherited his baking business. She currently manages the bakery and her husband's household, and continues the studies that she began with her father as time allows. When traveling in England, she uses the name Katherine de Staverton to avoid persecution.
