Introduction

My name is Jonathan Miles in the SCA and Jonathan Bayles mundanely.

I enjoy Fencing, Armored fighting, Archery, and Metalsmithing.

I am currently living (with my wife Teresa and my son Oskar) in the Barony of Settmour Swamp which lies in the southern region of the kingdom in Central New Jersey.

I am interested in helping new people get into our various games, sports, activities, arts, and parties so I encourage you to reach out to me if you need help!

Awards

I have a few awards but the one I am most proud of is being a Knight of the Society, this is all I ever really wanted, it took me a long time to earn it and it changed me as a person for the better. It changed me not just in the receiving, but in the wanting and the striving. It took me a long time to realize I didn't need the belt to be a knight, that I could think and act like one as much as I liked and so I did that; and the moment I did they gave it to me. I empower each of you to behave as your ideal self, the society has a bounty of love they are just waiting to give you, but you have to let them.

Thank you for thinking of me, sincerely. I want nothing more. I concede the balance of my time in court to those who ache as I once did for recognition and their moment in the sun. For the new people who need encouragement to the veterans who need validation. My cup is full.
