Introduction

Lady Iseaulte of the Clews, AOA, OM

A clew is a ball of yarn. I have many clews to share.

Persona

Iseaulte was born sometime around 1050 close to modern day Penzance, Cornwall, England. She made her way to the East Kingdom where she learned calligraphy and illumination. Iseaulte’s other talents are in fibers arts. Specifically, fiber preparation, spinning, and weaving.

She is said to look remarkably like her ancestress of the same name. The older Iseaulte may have been born around the year 500.

More Information

Iseaulte has taught extensively, both in and out of the SCA on the following topics:

Calligraphy

Illumination

Fiber preparation - combing, carding

Spinning

Weaving
