Introduction
I have been a part of the SCA since anno societatis 44. My girlfriend at the time (now my beautiful wife) told me about the SCA and insisted that I join her at Pennsic 38. It was my first event and there was so much going on that it took me until Pennsic XL before I started to find my footing in the SCA. I found enjoyment in volunteering. I have been active in two baronial office positions at the same time, rapier marshal and herald of Beyond the Mountain. I am currently running a fencing practice in Bridge while holding a deputy herald office in Dragonship Haven. I am also a fencing marshal, youth fencing marshal, thrown weapons marshal, and a marshal in training for youth combat. If I see something that needs done I usually raise my hand, although I have been learning that I don't have to be the one to do it all. Some lessons are tough.

Persona
Born in Scandinavia in the year 821, Grímólfr Skúlason was the second son in a small farming family. His older brother was the heir to the family's farm and land was scarce to start his own family farm. Grímólfr, seeking his own way in life, joined an expedition to Ireland in the 830's under a chieftain named Thorgisl. Thorgisl and his crew set up settlements up the River Shannon in Ireland to make it easier for plundering the monasteries in Ireland. In 841, Grímólfr helped establish a community founded on the wedge of ground where the River Poddle met the River Liffrey, at a marshy place the locals called 'the black pool', Dubh Linn.
Over the years, the settlement turned from a temporary staging point into a full fledged settlement. Grímólfr was recognized by the leader of his community for his service to all those that resided within the settlement, his use of various forms of art to make the settlement more beautiful, and also for his skill with a blade and spear. He began his own household after years of service and the pursuit of knowledge and called it Spak-Hrafns Hús, dedicated to the ravens of Óðinn who would search the world for knowledge to bring back to him. He also joined and became a commander for Stormguard to show all that opposed his jarl the fierceness of true warriors on the field of battle and he was made a Drottin over the training of troops in the East. Grímólfr spent the rest of his days fighting and learning new skills that could help the settlement around him. He would also take what knowledge he would gain and spread it throughout the community.

This nickname translates to "earls' bane" or "slayer of earls". Over the years Grímólfr has slain many royalty from different kingdoms on the fields of Pennsic War, that opposed the East. His group began to call him king-slayer and this is the most appropriate Old Norse translation.

Timothy Barre Wollffe was a privateer and considered one of the English Sea Dogs, as they were disparagingly called by the Spanish authorities. He was given the consent and sometimes financial support of Elizabeth I of England to attack and plunder Spanish colonial settlements and treasure ships. He was made a Captain by Ryouko'jin and Indrakshi for his prowess and dedication to the crown.
