Battle-oak,
bravely striding
stands to meet
his monstrous foe.
Falters not
the norn of blades;
blessed earth,
all-supporting,
props the roots
with rowan-care.
Called Solveig,
the Sif of men
metes the heart
with Hildr-gifts.
