To take the field of foe-slaughter -
To take the crown of crow-feasting -
To take the seat of sovereign power -
All this I swear by Saxon honor.
To give my blood for brothers noble -
To give my oath for oak-bound service -
To give my soul for Siubhan the Most-wise -
I swear all again by the grace of my lady.
