Battle-drops
darken the skies.
Mournful cry
mail-shirt goslings.
Winds harry
with wounding-reeds.
Oðin’s rains
rise to a flood.
Skillful Scot -
Skúli of the bow -
Hobbe Yonge
hobbles Suttung
with flight-swifts
swiftly issued -
jötnar fall
to yew of Snows.
