Sewn on double cords laced through shaped wooden boards. Covered in leather with inlaid device for Brunissende Dragonette. Hand sewn endbands in heraldic colors as well.

Visible outline of cord lacing pattern on front cover is not period, but I enjoyed making the structure visible. For the same reason, there is no pastedown on the interior of the cover.

Lanaquarelle paper (watermarked Lana) from France. "The Lana Mill was founded in the village of Duxelles in the 15th century and prospered because of its location near monasteries and universities that required quantities of paper." - text from New York Central Art Supply Catalog see also: http://www.lanapapier.fr/en/company/our-history/

The main leather is Harmatan goat http://www.harmatan.co.uk/leathers/fine.html "Only sumac and other natural materials are used in the tannage of this fine quality range of leathers. These skins are hand polished and finished to show the beauty of the natural grain."

White leather is alum tawed goat from Hewit & Sons http://www.hewitonline.com/Alum_Tawed_Goat_p/le-037.htm

Red and black leathers were Sokoto goat through Siegel Leather http://www.siegelleather.com/Detail.aspx?UID=SG

Endbands are made from linen embroidery thread

Pasted with starch paste except for the inlay, which was glued with modern PVA because the white takes other color well and I wanted to introduce minimal moisture while pressing the other colors all up against it.
