Introduction

Baron Eginhard d'Aix la Chapelle (he/him) resides and serves in the Barony of Havre des Glaces in the Principality of Tir Mara. He was named a Baron of the Court of Their Majesties Wilhelm von Ostenbrücke and Vienna de la Mer in East Kingdom 12th Night, Île du Dragon Dormant in January 2019 for his dedication to the East.

Eginhard joined the SCA in December 2012. He became Protege of Master Godfroy de Falaise in Dec 2013. He most visibly serves as a voice herald and is often called upon to translate scroll text from English to French. He also provides these translation services for East Kingdom websites, notably the website for the Office of Chancellor Minor and kingdom information about the pandemic. He is also an event photographer and has provided photos for the Pennsic Independent and East Kingdom Gazette.

Eginhard serves as a thrown weapons marshal and became the first First Prince of Tir Mara Champion of Thrown Weapons in 2017.

Eginhard also has an interest in bardic performance, first performing in the Barony of Île du Dragon Dormant in 2016. Soon after, he became a student to Mistress Aneleda Falconbridge in October 2016 and became her first apprentice in January 2018. He has since worked to expand his musical repertory with more songs and has been learning to play the Irish flute and bodhran. He has started writing his own songs and lyrics, as well as dabbling in Japanese poetry.
