Guild of the East Kingdom courtesans.
History
Founded during the Last Court of Ozurr and Fortune.
Guild Charter
In the year of the Society Fifty-Four in the month of October on the fifth indiction we, the oath-bearing courtesans of The Company of the Sable Domino, pledge to make the charter of whose form and content is contained herein and held by guild principal throughout presently for this reason:
We swear to the Tyger Throne and Kingdom of the East that we will support and encourage research in all its forms by hosting, sponsoring, and teaching classes, Arts and Sciences displays, and salons that center on historical sex work and sexuality.
We swear to promote amiability, collegiality and grace in the East and the Known World by opening up both our hearts and homes to host affairs which maintain a welcoming and joyful atmosphere.
We swear on this charter to promote sex positivity and a culture of consent and safer sex practices within the SCA. Likewise, we shall reject sexism, homophobia, transphobia, whorephobia, and all other forms of discrimination.
In return for these pledges, The Company of the Sable Domino shall be recognized as an entity within the East Kingdom and the crown shall support and encourage the Company’s endeavors, for this reflects the glory of the Kingdom. The Crown shall the defend Courtesan Guild against outside threat or challenge unless there be just grievance against the guild, though such circumstance seems unthinkable.
In witness thereof do we, The Company of the Sable Domino, set our determination by hand and ask that our Most Royal Majesties, Ozurr the Boot-Giver and Fortune Sancte Keyne, bear witness upon this feast day of Saint Flora, Anno Societatis fifty four.
